Mini Reviews

Just finished reading “With All My Might” written by Gabriella van Rij. For now, I am closing the last page of the book and feeling a sense of gratitude that Gabriella has shared her life story with me. I don’t recommend books often because I know people receive books differently. However, this is too good to keep it for myself. It is a quick read that will leave it’s imprint in your life, deeply.

Thank you for writting a very inspiring book.. I read the book cover to cover in one evening.. For me, that is fantastic..I don’t get much time for myself, with two foster boys, 8 & 11, and two bio daughters 17 & 21, and work outside the home.. It was a book I just couldn’t put down.. I’ve been told your on a second book, looking forward to it. Can tell you also, the my 21 yr old daughter also read the book and enjoyed it.. Thanks so much for your sharing your story.. barb :) )

I read Gabriella’s book With All My Might. The delicacy of feeling with which she writes about a difficult life touched me deeply with tenderness and brought tears to my eyes. Her courage inspires in me a fierce dedication to live and give more from the heart. From UE (Vancouver – CA)

Jeetje…. From JdH-K (The Netherlands).

My dear sister friend. You radiate gratitude and optimism throughout the pages of this book. I have never seen you without a big smile and a ready hug for everyone you meet. It’s amazing you did not become hardened or debased by your struggles but grew in both strength and wisdom. Because of your heightened compassion and personal resilience that you gained through your tribulations you were able to improve the lives of many. From Ing D (White Rock – CA).

I finished your book last night. what a great life you have had – rising above adversity and making the choice to be happy and successful. what a super story for people everywhere. I really liked how you used the backdrop of the olympics – a time of joy and togetherness – as a contrast to the narrow mindedness of in laws and others. nicely done. From PC (Nanaimo – CA).

Heya Gabriella, I’m sitting @ Toyota waiting for an oil change & totally immersed in your book – luv-luv-it all ready. Only page 20 but the way you write captures the reader – makes you feel like you are right there @ that moment… Does that make sense? I like the way you write. From B (Vancouver – CA).

Lieve Gab,
“U bedoeld Canada….”. Canada? From Dick J (Leeuwarden – The Netherlands).

You really come through in it I believe. An image comes into my mind – of you swimming and sometimes floundering in a rough sea. Then somehow you find a surfboard and with both feet on the firm surface, you ride the wave to the shore -ready to go back with your board into the sea and ride again!! I hope that doesn’t sound too silly! I am about half way through it – wish I had more time for reading – I am a slow reader. It is so well written. I had not known how much suffering you went through as a little girl. Your attitude to all that now is inspirational. The book is compelling. Not only that, but its format is so easy to handle, and the print is so clear, the right size and easy to read. I can imagine how you made choices about such details all along the process of getting the book published. I want to give your book to several people at Christmas! – as always!
