Sunday evening, mother’s day, I just arrived back from Galiano Island. What always amazes me is the love that I feel at Serenity, or I should say the love I receive. It is so utterly amazing that it actually put tears into my eyes when I entered my own home. I always realize what I leave behind… love, gentleness and above all respect for what we all can be as human beings. Chidakash has the ability to talk to you and you know after the talk that you can be even a better person then you started out that day. Shera his lovely partner knows how to connect with you on a level that need no words and the same feeling happens, I know I can do even better.

The one thing I am certain of is that serenity is part of me, wherever I go.

I honor Serenity and the theme of fairly tales by sharing my favourite one of Hans Anderson: The little girl with the match sticks.

Most terribly cold it was; it snowed, and was nearly quite dark, and evening– the last evening of the year. In this cold and darkness there went along the street a poor little girl, bareheaded, and with naked feet. When she left home she had slippers on, it is true; but what was the good of that? They were very large slippers, which her mother had hitherto worn; so large were they; and the poor little thing lost them as she scuffled away across the street, because of two carriages that rolled by dreadfully fast.
